World Prayer Centre turns 30

Birmingham’s ‘World Prayer Centre’ is marking the 30th anniversary of its inception. Over the 30 years, WPC has sought to be a catalyst for prayer, encouraging people to pray and act locally, nationally and globally. WPC plays a networking role, working with a range of people and organisations. WPC brings Christian leaders with a heart for prayer together. It believes that prayer enables mission. It supports a growing, global movement of young prayer leaders and nation-builders. WPC supports and enables united prayer in cities and in rural areas. It hosts national prayer events, calling people together to pray. Increasingly, it mobilises prayer through social media, enabling a speedy, joined-up approach.

The current World Prayer Centre team consists of Ian and Pauline Cole (Founders and Global Directors), Laurence Sharman (Executive Director), Jane Holloway (National Prayer Director), Natasha Ruddock (Communications Manager) and Diana Holder (Bookkeeper).

To celebrate its landmark anniversary, the World Prayer Centre is to hold a special celebration event at the Harvest Fields Centre, Harvest Fields Way, Sutton Coldfield B75 5TJ, on Saturday 22 April. The gathering will provide the opportunity to worship and celebrate, to share stories of God’s leading through three decades, to hear from God’s Word and to pray for the future. The event will begin at 10:30am with coffee and end at 4:30pm. It includes a buffet lunch and drinks throughout the day. WPC is requesting for a £20.00 donation to register to attend the 30th anniversary celebration. Registration can be completed online via THIS LINK, by calling the office on 0121 633 7393 and choosing option 1, or by sending a cheque payable to World Prayer Centre (including your name and address) to World Prayer Centre, ‘Celebrating 30,’ 18 Hartswell Drive, Birmingham B13 0PE.
