A collaboration of poetry and paintings by Adrian Plass and Ben Ecclestone has recently been re-curated as an art exhibition and is now available free to venues across the UK.
The works of art in the exhibition, titled Words from The Cross, are centred around the events of Good Friday and provide a focus for reflection, meditation, prayer, and discussion, for any time of year.
The words and images in the works of art are designed to inspire ideas and thoughts about the relevance of the words of Jesus to people in the 21st Century, and they are offered in this exhibition, to the public, to stimulate personal contemplation, and to inspire conversations within communities.
Viewers of the exhibition are encouraged to be creative in the use of the works of art in order to uncover the many layers of meaning contained within them, and to discover what the events depicted might mean to them personally.
Westhill’s Exhibition Coordinator says “I am delighted that this incredibly moving and thought-provoking exhibition has come to fruition and that others will be able to share it. It has been such a privilege to work with these very talented artists.”
This exhibition comes in 9 double mounted frames, with a choice of hanging with either picture cord or mirror plates. The frames could alternatively be displayed on secure easels should you have them available. The exhibition would need to be collected from Westhill’s offices in Selly Oak, South Birmingham, and they fit in a standard car. There is no charge for their use.
For more information about this, including examples of the work, and the 9 other art exhibitions available from Westhill Endowment, please see their website www.westhillendowment.org, or contact them on info@westhillendowment.org, or 0121 472 8000.
