Steadfast Peacemaking

The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Birmingham’s ‘Diocesan Justice and Peace Commission’ invites all to its annual ‘Justice and Peace Retreat,’ which will take place at St Paul’s Convent, Selly Park Road, Birmingham B29 7LL, on Saturday (29 June), from 10.30am to 4.30pm. ‘Steadfast peacemaking’ will be led by Ann Farr, who has vast experience of what it is to be a Peacemaker both as an Ecumenical Accompanier in the Holy Land and by her many years of work leading Pax Christi UK.

Sumud is the Palestinian concept of steadfastness, resilience, persistence and non-violence. The Retreat will share our experiences of responding to the Gospel call to work for justice and peace in times of brokenness, violence and conflict; and have time for quiet reflection and prayer.
