Resources for Lent 2025

The season of Lent will begin on Ash Wednesday, Wednesday 5 March and run until Maundy Thursday, 17 April. Resources useful for personal reflection and/or group study have been published by a number of Churches and Christian ministries. They include:

Church of England

The Church of England’s Lent theme for 2025 is Living Hope.

In Lent we journey with Jesus on the difficult and thorny road that leads all the way to the cross on Good Friday – and beyond, to the transformation of Easter Day.

Methodist Church

In the wilderness, Jesus reminded us that people don’t live by bread alone. Each week during Lent, we’ll reflect on what sustains us, based on the lectionary Gospel passage for Sunday. You can sign up to receive 40 daily deliveries of spiritual nourishment through Lent, delivered to your email inbox.

Green Christian

Lent is a season of penance, prayer and repentance, where repentance can mean not only regret and remorse, but also a “change of mind”, a turning around to the right path. Humanity certainly needs Lent. Let us model it where we can.
