Oasis Church Birmingham has been celebrating its 25th birthday with a number of different events during 2024. Through them all, there has been a sense of celebration and thanksgiving for what God has done and a sense of encouragement through the stories of lives changed, hope restored and community built. The final gathered moments of celebration will take place over the coming weekend.
On Saturday afternoon (5 October), a special Birthday Celebration gathering will incorporate times of thanksgiving, connection, and an interactive exhibition celebrating how God has been at work through the years. The activities will be accompanied by cream teas and a drinks reception. Prior booking is required for the Birthday Celebration.
On Sunday morning (6 October), a Thanksgiving and Commissioning Service will look back at all that God has done over the past 25 years and look ahead to all he might want to do in the next 25 years and beyond. Refreshments will be available from 10:15am. The service will begin at 10:30am. The service will be followed by a ‘Bring and Share’ lunch. There is no need to sign up to attend this event.
Oasis Church meets at The Hub, a former Methodist Church building situated in South Street, Harborne B17 0DB. Oasis is part of the ‘Catalyst’ network of churches. With its roots in the New Frontiers movement, Catalyst is a family of 800+ churches connected together by relationship and served by a number of apostolic teams who aim to equip churches to raise pioneering disciples that see God’s kingdom fill the earth.
