‘Fulfil’ youth event

The next ‘Fulfil’ gathering for 11 to 18-year-olds will take place on Friday 14 March at Mount Zion Community Church, 70 Thomas Street, Aston B6 4TN. Doors open at 7.00pm for a 7.30pm start.

Fulfil is an interdenominational event run by Birmingham City Mission for Birmingham church youth groups. Fulfil provides an ideal opportunity for young people from different congregations, groups and backgrounds to come together to enjoy a fun night out in a different setting to the norm; a chance to see the wider Birmingham Kingdom picture; and to be encouraged in faith as young people worship Jesus together, enjoy wholesome entertainment and hear from God’s word and the challenge of the gospel for their lives.

The aim of Fulfil gatherings is to help young people, whether Christian or not-yet Christian, to grow in their understanding of Jesus. Whatever their starting point, they will be challenged and encouraged by the gospel at Fulfil and what it means to live as a follower of Jesus in the modern world among one’s friends, schools peers and community. Both the ABC of the Gospel and deeper apologetics questions are presented at Fulfil events.

‍In addition to contributions from young people, the Fulfil gathering of 14 March will feature:

Warren Furman, formerly Ace, a Gladiator on the original series of Gladiators in the 1990s. Warren has a powerful story of God’s transforming grace in his life. He now runs an organisation called Ace Active, using his story to share the gospel in schools and universities. He was recently ordained as a Church of England Vicar based in West London. Ace will be bringing some Gladiator-style gear for youth to try on at the event!

‍Multi-award winning artist Becca Folkes. Growing up in the Church of God in Christ, Becca has been involved in choirs and musical presentations, leading to her becoming very familiar with moving crowds through song. Becca ministers around the world, testifying of God’s power to save and heal. From songs like Control that have crossed a million streams, to recent releases like Baba that has been covered by several fans on the internet, Becca continues to release music with lasting impact. As well as being a member of Manor Collective, Becca is wrapping up her first album EXODUS, an album depicting various points on her journey with God. Whatever the platform, Becca, always seeks to exalt the name of Jesus.

‍Birmingham City Mission encourages group leaders to book in advance, which can be done via THIS LINK. There is a suggested donation of £3.50 per under-18. More information about Fulfil HERE.
