The National Black Police Association, Churches Together in Britain and Ireland, the Methodist Church, the Ascension Trust and the Diocese of Southwark are co-hosting the ‘Black and Blue’ webinar from 7.30pm to 9.00pm on Wednesday 2nd December.

In the webinar, present and former Black police officers will share their views on the Black Lives Matter movement, institutional racism, ‘stop and search’ and related law-and-order issues. The officers will speak about their decision to join the police service; whether this decision impacted relationships with family and friends, and how they have been viewed by their white colleagues.

The session will be chaired by the Venerable Dr Rosemarie Mallett, Archdeacon of Croydon, and Revd Les Isaac OBE, CEO of the Ascension Trust, who will take the participants through their paces and find out, among other issues, how their faith informs, or has informed, their work and commitment to justice, fairness and integrity. There will also be space in the programme to put questions to the panel.
