28 hours p.w. Part Time
Salary: £29,623.63 (FTE)
Location: Ladywood & Edgbaston, Birmingham
Karis Neighbour Scheme is seeking to appoint an Advice Worker working as part of our extended team and as part of the B:CAN Mental Health partnership funded via Birmingham City Council’s Prevention & Communities grants programme
The role is primarily focused on Welfare Rights, supporting people with mental health needs with entitlement checks, new applications and appeals. The advisor will also support with wider Information, Advice & Guidance support, including helping to connect people to additional support where needed.
The advice work is primarily delivered face to face, including the offer of home visits for those who would struggle to access support otherwise. People can also be seen at our offices and at several outreach locations in the community.
The post is funded by Birmingham City Council through the Prevention and Communities grants programme for 18 months. Subject to funding our intention is that the role will continue.
