A Taste of the Middle East and DRC – Join Tearfund in Birmingham
Tearfund invite you to join them in Birmingham to gain firsthand insights into the ongoing conflicts in the Middle East and the Democratic Republic of Congo and to learn about the church’s response to these challenging situations.

- Time: 30 pm arrival,13:00 sit down meal,finish at 14:00 (but do stay for a hot drink and chat with us afterwards if you can ☕)
- Venue: Gas Street Central church, 41 Gas St, Birmingham, B1 2JT (accessible by public transport 🚋, or nearby pay and display car park/ on-street parking 🚘)
We are honoured to welcome two incredible speakers who will share their experiences and perspectives:
- Safa Hijazeen – sharing about the Middle East
- Poppy Anguandia – sharing about the Democratic Republic of Congo
Following the presentations, we will share a Middle Eastern inspired meal together, providing an opportunity for further discussion and connection.
We believe this event will not only broaden our understanding of these complex issues but also inspire us to consider how we can support peace-building efforts and those affected by these conflicts.
