Pray24Brum - Find Out More
Since the month of April carries special spiritual significance for many people in the city, Birmingham’s ChurchCentral church is inviting Christians to make April 2022 a special month of prayer for Birmingham and Solihull. ChurchCentral is part of the ‘Catalyst’ relational network of churches, which in turn belongs to the Newfrontiers Church family. Read more about ChurchCentral HERE.
ChurchCentral says, ‘Our neighbours and communities have suffered a lot over the last two years, and people continue to feel the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic; the grief of lost loved ones, the pain of being separated from community, lost jobs and businesses, and fear of the virus itself. As Christians we are not immune from these effects, but we still have hope in Christ. We want to pray for the Hope of Christ, for God’s love and His blessing to be known by our friends, neighbours and in our communities, with a particular focus on praying for them during this month. We hope you can join us!’
Under the hashtag #Pray4Brum, ChurchCentral is suggesting a number of ways in which people can engage with the month of special prayer. These include:
·         Meeting as a congregation or group of friends to pray for your communities.
·         Prayer walking around the city, using the ‘walk n’ pray’ prayer walking app (choose Birmingham Campaign) to track your walks and see where others have prayed.
·         Signing up to pray for 15 minutes or more to cover Birmingham in prayer through the whole of April.
·         Praying and fasting during the last week of the month.
·         Joining Christians from across Birmingham to pray in person for 24 hours on Friday 29 and Saturday 30 April.
